I am modeling a composite steel beam- concrete w/ metal deck system and several of the composite steel beam members are showing very strange increasing loading where the loading should be uniform. Can you explain where the additional loading is coming from that is resulting in the increasing load?
I have tried redrawing the slab, decks, beams and loads multiple times but the error persists.
I tried adding slab penetrations to force the tributary width but the error persists.
I have removed all applied loading such that there's only DL and LL still shows up in the beam loading results....
The adjacent composite beam to the right shows the correct uniform loading so it is all the more confusing why other beams are getting such strange loading.
The snippets below show the member in question circled and the corresponding loading diagram which we expected to be uniform.
