TORSION GOVERNING FOR TUBE SECTION

Hi

I am using tube sections in staad and have found, that the utilization is much lower with the setting: "TORSION 3 ALL"

The beam is cantilever, main loading is bending, the shear and torsion is below 5% of utilization.

Yet, without this setting the utilization increases significantly (beam 1207: 0.95 -> 1.19) .

Could you explain why?
