I am going to run a spectrum analysis on the wind load manually with the time history analysis of STAAD. The purpose is to check the dynamic response of a lightweight metal frame under the wind. Previously, we used a harmonic time history load and swept the frequencies of the load from 0.1Hz to 10 Hz. But that analysis could only analyze the wind load with a single frequency, which is never the case of real wind. So we want to do a wind load spectrum from 0.1 Hz to 10Hz.
I found there is a spectrum option to define the time loads. But did not find any reference or examples in the help file to use it.
