I have upgraded to Staad Connect from V8i, and am trying to find the same output options that I had been using previously. V8i provides a results along a line option that I had been relying heavily to complete this project and I can't seem to find that option in Connect. Not having the results along a line function is not as much of an issue, assuming that someone can clarify the results that Staad is producing to clarify what all the stresses that are reported are on a elemental level. The reason that I relied on results along a ling function in V8i was that there is a fantastic document floating around by Kris Sathia that very clearly lays out what each result produced by the results along the line means on a micro sized element making it very clear which results I needed to focus on for my analysis.
There is ultimately 2 questions produced by this query, if one of them can be answered can probably get to the results I need.
1. Does the results along a line function existing in Staad Connect?
2. Is there documentation available for Connect that clearly shows what the various results mean in terms of forces acting on an element?
I already have 2 service request going for this project and have not received any responses to either since at least May 3, when I originated the second request.
