Hi,
I think this has been covered in other questions but I just wanted to obtain some clarification... when undertaking plate analysis, does the global X and Y moments take into account the XY local component? I am undertaking the design of a large piled concrete slab to BS EN 1992 - analysis in STAAD and design by hand. I was just wondering whether I need to calculate the result Wood Armer moments by hand using the local moments X, Y and XY or whether I can rely on the global moments.
Thanks in advance!
