I'm using STAAD Pro SS6 and my building has composite steel beams with a lightweight concrete deck. The building has a radial (curved) column grid so the beams are not at right angles to each other. Does this affect the calculation of the composite effective flange width of the beams? I am getting a lot of warnings stating that "CW of 0.0 Entered". I didn't enter this value so I'm assuming the program is inputing 0 since the distance between members varies along the length.
I can upload my model if need be. Does anyone have a good example of a project where the composite deck definition is used correctly?
Thanks.
