1. The staad version i am using is the v8i version. The Indian design code available for steel design is IS800 and IS800 LSD. If i want to design in working stress method I am not sure which option should select.
2. If i design a structure in a limit state i guess my load combination should be as per table 4 of IS 800:2007, but what about for working stress method. as per IS 800:2007 clause 12.2.2 it is mentioned to refer back to load combination of limit state table 4. My understanding of working stress load combination was with no partial safety factor on loads.
3. In Cl 11.1.4 of IS 800 2007, it is mentioned that the permissible stress can be increased by 33 percent for combination involving wind and seismic in working stress design. For limit state design are we not permitted as such?
Please advice me accordingly. Thank you
