I have successfully modeled a mat foundation in STAAD.Pro and solved for a simple load case. There is a document from the Technical Support Group that details how to import the STAAD model into Foundation Advanced (FA) and complete the design, but it does not explain the details of the process, just how to get it into FA. The article states that the results of the solution are available to FA and no further meshing or analysis are needed; however, when I try to plot moments or design the slab, the following error message comes up...
Error: No pile or soil support defined. Stopping analysis...
If I do not run the analysis, the slab design module gripes that I have not performed an analysis.
