I am working on a wall design with pile of material behind it, and other out of plane point loads. I would have used the Retaining Wall module for this but that module does not support out of plane point loads. Additionally, the Retaining wall module does not support wind and snow loading. I modeled the wall as a shell element in RAM Elements with all the necessary loads and designed it using the RC wall module.
I am however unable to design the foundation: this post gives a guide on how to used shell elements for the foundation, and using springs to model soil bearing. I have not found how to check for other design criteria such as sliding and overturning. What is the best procedure for designing such walls?
