Dear experts,
I have confusion in design data between analytical member and physical member having the same length in steel design using aisc asd , I made staad pro model containing two identical beams ,
first one is analytical member divided to 6 segment ,
second one is physical member ,
both beams have same length ,loads & design parameters but the the analytical member is save and the physical member is un safe ??!!!!

2-also another question should I define lz for analytical member or not (in the attached model Lz =6m is this right ?)
