When analyzing certain AISI shapes with unstiffened flanges, i.e. ZU, or U, shapes, the steel code check generates a design warning stating "Crippling design not applicable when R/t ratio exceeds permissible limit".
I am new to Ram Elements so not positive on what to make of this. I am thinking this is a generic message stating we need to check the R/t ratio in the appropriate table that is generated on any unstiffened flange shape. I have ran both custom shapes and default ones getting the same warning. The R/t ratio checks out from what I can tell. Wanting some clarification on this warning
