I modelled a truss member using plate construction in STAAD, i applied plane stress option for all the diagonal members for transfering axial forces alone. But after analysis it is showing many warnings regarding zero stiffness and instability problems.
To check whether the applied support is correct or not, i analysed the model without applying plane stress option also. At that time the model is running without warning.
Can anyone suggest any other method is there for transferring axial forces alone in the plate constructed model without warning by applying plane stress option. My requirement is my member should transfer only axial forces, it should not take any bending in the member.
