Hi,
We have a beam with several concentrated and uniformly distributed loads. We have four (virtual) supports. Each pair of two supports is connected again to a common point.
So it turn we have just 2 (real) supports on the bottom. Please refer to the picture below. On the top virtual supports, we expect same reaction within each pair. We tried several ways to imitate the requirement by releasing the restraints MZ, FX on the (load balancing) beams. But we didnt get what we expected. What is the right way to do this?
What we expect is that,
1) The loads within "each" pair are same.
2) The bending moment diagram (Mz) on the bottom beams to look like a triangle (since the loads on each ends of bottom most beam would be same)
3) The shear force Fy on each of the nodes (connecting the top most beam and vertical beam) should be of same magnitude on left side and right side.
We get none of these results. please help.
