Hi everyone !
I am designing an aircraft hangar 50m (span) *30 m , i can't limit the node displacement with an economical design using the AISC ASD because the plate girder design is not implemented in STAAD PRO for the AISC ASD ( CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG PLEASE ) .So my questions are :
1-The plate girder is implemented for the AISC-360/05 OR AISC-360/10 in Staad ? or even for the AISC ASD and i can't see how to do it ?
2-How the tapered members are designed in Staad pro according to AISC-360/05 OR AISC-360/10 since those codes don't deal with those members ?
3-I am facing a real problem with the bracing in walls and roof they fail in slenderness with a ration 6 and more (i am using angle channel ),how can i fix this ?
