I am trying to model a beam that supports a parallel wall above, modeled as shell. From the deformed shape, it appears that the wall is stiffening the beam and preventing it from deflecting rather than transferring the vertical load. Is there a way to use the shell interfaces to release any in-plane connection between the shell and beam? When trying to add an interface, I get an Error message stating "It is not possible to create interfaces from current element selection."
