Hello,
I wanted to validate the torsion check STAAD Pro calculates. To do so, I made a simple model with 30kNm of torsion applied to a 150x6SHS spanning 3m fixed at both ends.
Doing a simple check for torsional stress as per design guide 9 table 4.1 I noticed there is a huge difference between the STAAD output and my manual calculations. Could someone please clarify why the results vary?
