I've used the 'Create User Table' in STAAD to create a 100x5EA. I've only loaded a compressive axial force to this member. I've code checked it against AISC 360-10.
I'm curious to know why there is moments calculated during combined bending and axial compression in AISC 360-10 (H1-1) when I've only specified a compressive axial force on the member. This seems to only occur when I model a non-standard angle that isn't available in the 'Section Database'.
I've created a simple model to show this and highlighted the results in the screenshot below.
