how to compute the total deadload of the truss? I've watched a video tutorial where in the total deadload of the truss & purlins was computed, so that the resultings loads will be applied as roofload. But when I try to follow the computations I did not understand how he came up with the parameters in computing the total deadload. He used the reactions of the truss & purlins and he multiplied it with their corresponding effective area, the only problem I got is that how to get the effective area of the truss?
