When I press enter or double click on any .STD file it does NOT open the file. Only opens the program itself.

This is very annoying and time consuming. Please tell me how to fix this. I have already re-associated the .STD files to open with STAAD, but still it fails to open. Also all the units preference are reversed from metric to imperial.
