After our office updated Ram Concept to the Connect V6.0 edition the program has been running very slow with any model that is either linked or severed from the Ram Structural model. Initially we assumed the slow run time was due to the additional lateral load combinations that were brought over but this seem not to be the case. Everything from running an analysis, generating mesh or even modifying manual tendons is very slow. An analysis that used to take less than a minute now takes five. Deflection history analysis that used to take roughly a minute now takes over thirty. Even the basic user interface is very slow with a second delay on making adjustments to the model in one of the layers. If we build a new model from scratch it runs great but any model that was or is linked back to Ram performs poorly.
