I am working on concrete shear wall design using RAM Frame and RAM Concrete. I analyze the lateral system in RAM Frame and then I bounce to RAM Concrete - Shear Wall Designer to work on the shear wall reinforcing.
I notice that as I update the reinforcing for the shear walls, it has no affect on the RAM Frame analysis. So, my question is, does RAM Frame base its deflection (or building drift) calculations solely off of the "E" determined by the concrete strength? And does not calculate an effective E based on the steel reinforcing provided?
Just want to clearly understand this.
