See the attached picture. In the soils report for the project I am working it states that the subgrade modulus needs to be reduced based on the size and shape of the slab/mat foundation. Does STAAD.Pro and SFA already do this reduction or do I need to input the reduced subgrade modulus in each program? The soils report mentions that some programs automatically do the reduction, but could not find in the manual if STAAD.Pro and SFA do the reduction automatically. Could someone shed some light on this?
