I am having issues with accurately modeling design strips to provide accurate and reasonable cross sections throughout my slab. As shown in the picture below, the model steps down periodically at the top (slab will slope in actuality) and has a consistent bottom elevation along its length with the exception of the abutments at each side.

A plan view is shown below to illustrate the design strips currently drawn along the models length with manually inputted span boundaries. The second picture below indicates where the cross sections are being cut short of the full span width due to the manually inputted span boundaries. I have already been through an iteration of these design strips without the span boundaries and cross sections are intersecting one another and causing more issues.
What options do I have to provide accurate and reasonable cross sections along the length of this slab?
