I am analysing a structure which is comprised of PFC sections that are supported off a UC section. The PFC sections are to be orientated by 90 degrees and a number of point loads are to be applied to induce bending about the minor axis. However, point loads are to be applied eccentric to the shear centre of the PFC (loads transferred to flanges of PFC via bolted connections). This is shown in the attached image. Therefore my question is whether I am able to offset loads from the shear centre to better demonstrate the application of loads and analyse the potential torsion across the section. Is this best done as a 'member load' or a 'nodal load'?
