Hi,
the Load History long term deflection is calculated in three steps:
- Maximum Short Term Load (Duration=30 days; Total age=33 days)
- Sustained Load (Duration=5000 days; Total age=5033 days)
- Final Instantaneous (Duration=0 days; Total age=5033 days)
I know that in US the long term deflection is typically calculated at 5 years after loading.
I have always been used to calculate at 30 years. However I haven't found any specific indication in both ACI-318 or EC2, unless I missed it.
Why RAM adopts 5000 days (about 14 years)?
