Hi -
I am designing a moment connection between W beam to HSS column using direct weld.
It seems like that Ram connection does not consider the workable flat of the HSS section, and assumes that the beam flange width is the length of weld.
Even at cases were workable flat dimension is less than beam flange width. The length of weld usually impacts the capacity of weld.
I wonder if this issue is resolved in most recent/future ram connection version.
