Hey, I am trying to perform dynamic analysis of an Intze type water tank. Things to be considered for dynamic analysis is the sloshing impact and sloshing wave height where a certain portion of mass gets mobilized due to seismic effects.How can I get the weight &height of mass which will be mobilized due to seismic vibrations and perform a dynamic analysis (response spectra & time history). I have attached a model here where the mass of water has been applied in the cylindrical walls as hydro static pressure and the weight of water has been applied as plate loads on the lower dome. How can i get the center of gravity of the structure and insert a node as a master node and apply seismic weight in that node and make other nodes as slave nodes so, that the seismic mass gets distributed proportionally to the slave nodes. In my model I have manually calculated the base shear and applied the forces equally in each node but, this does'nt seem to be an appropriate approach. Can anyone revise my attached model and apply seismic mass in a master node in the C.g of the structure and also perform time history & response spectra analysis?Also how can i perform a P-delta analysis to get the secondary moments on the structural elements?(Please visit the site to view this file)
