We have observed a difference in analysis results when the same STAAD 3D model is been analyzed on STAAD SELECT Series 5 & STAAD SELECT Series 6.
A STAAD model is attached for your reference. When the analysis is run, few members are showing as FAILED in structural analysis in SELECT Series 6 while the same members are showing as PASSED in SELECT Series 5. This has created doubts about the reliability of analysis results extracted from STAAD SELECT Series 6.
2 image files showing the analysis results are attached. They show different shear capacity for the same member (114) in SELECT Series 5 & SELECT Series 6. When cross checked manually the results from STAAD SELECT Series 6 seems to be incorrect.
Owing to this we are facing difficulty with the cross checking the more complex STAAD files (analyzed on Series5) submitted by contractor.
Anyone who can help on above then it will be great.
