While taking Plate Shear Stresses from Results of Plate Analysis, should I multiply stresses by thickness of plate(in mt.)
For an Example if I have 800mm thick plate, and I got SQX or SQY value 0.55 N/mm2 in STAAD. The actual value will be 0.55x0.8 =0.44N/mm2.
This I am asking Because I got a doubt after seeing Table 1-3, STAAD Technical Reference Help 1.61 Plate and shell element , SQX and SQY are Shear stresses (Force/ unit length/ thickness).
