Hello Everyone,
While designing the beams using IS 456:2000 code, in Select series 6.0, it's observed that the shear reinforcement calculated at supports is double the value to that required. For eg. if required shear reinforcement at support is Y8@150, STAAD calculates it as Y8@300. Whereas, select series 3 version used to calculate the right shear value along with separate calc. mentioned at distance d from support. Please let me know the reason for this discrepancy.
