Base plate connection design forces

Hi,

For base plate connection design purpose, RAM(STAAD) takes beam column end force into consideration. That is OK if I have column only.

In a case that you have bracing attached, design forces should be from equilibrium of column end forces and incoming force from bracing. In that case isn't it more appropriate to use support reaction forces.
