I have run a simple steel frame problem using both SELECTseries6 and SELECTseries5. For a compression angle member (4x4x1/4), SELECTseries5 chose rz as 0.8. SELECTseries6 chose rz as 0.78 for the same angle. This produces a slight difference in the code check ratio (1.024 vs 1.045) or a 2% difference. The steel manual value for rz is 0.795, Why does SELECTseries6 choose 0.78 for this value?
