I have modeled a CMU shear wall, 16' long, 8" thick, as a RAM elements shell. I would like to design a continuous footing under it, say 4' wide and 2' deep, checking for soil pressure, uplift etc. Assigning the shear wall nodes to the Footing modules as a "combined" footing seems ideal.
However, when I do this I get "node x does not have a valid column connection."
What is the procedure for modeling a footing for a shell, where there is no column?
