Hi All,
I'm designing a typical RC slab with drop panels. I noticed that when I specify the CS Span Detailer as none, Concept is telling me to use a lot fewer top bars than if I were to specify the CS Span Detailer as code. This doesn't make sense to me since detailing should be about the bar length, not the number of bars. In addition, the number of bars Concept is telling me to use is lower than what it should be if you do a hand calc based on the strip moment.
Can someone enlighten me?
