Hi everybody, please help me. I am facing a big problem about master-slave specification.
In my model, when I assign master-slave by selecting an approximate cg on each floor(sequence bottom floor to top floor)then the support reactions of each column decreases about 30% to 40%. But when I remove the master-slave specification, the support reactions (Global Y) are increases in large values. How is it possible in same model with all same loads? I can't find out my fault.
NB: I provided----- a). Linear Static analysis, b). Wind load assign manually as dist. member load, c). Seismic load by UBC 94 as absolute joint weight, d) Define master-slave as Rigid in the direction of bottom floor to upper floor, e)11-storied RC SMRF building, f) Used V8i SS5.
Thanks to all.
