I'm new to using ISM and am attempting to transfer between STAAD V8i Select Series 6 and Revit 2016.
I've noticed that when I move a Revit model to STAAD, joists are modeled in STAAD as members without section properties. This isn't a big deal, as the joist properties can be assigned for analysis. However, when taking a model out of STAAD to ISM, all joists are lost. When the ISM registry is opened in Revit, there is no information related to the joists.
Is there a work-around to export joists from STAAD to the ISM Registry and then to Revit? Even a "place holder" in the correct location would be beneficial.
