Dear all,
Can we model STAAD structure model with duplicated element, i.e. two member elements sharing same nodes?
For example, for a set of two back to back channel steel sections gap at 10mm, we will model them with 2 STAAD member element connected to the same nodes.
JOINT COORDINATES
1 0 0 0; 2 4.5 0 0;
MEMBER INCIDENCES
1 1 2; 2 1 2;
Understand that basic STAAD modelling do not allow duplication, maybe there is an exception?
If anyone can provide some good reasons that STAAD modelling should not have duplication element, this will be very helpful.
