Hi All,
I am fairly new to STAAD, but I am creating a model where plates connect perpedicularly into the web of an I- beam. (imagine a beam to girder connection, but instead of a beam connecting to a girder, it is a plate).
In my model, the load is applied to the plate, and then needs to transfer into the beam. Can STAAD model this type of connection or is the program only capable of connecting elements from a table? There seems to be an issue where they are not properly connected. Thanks!
Oh and I am trying to model a welded/bolted double angle shear connection.
I am not sure why the connectivity is not correct.
