- This is regarding the definition of the response reduction factor R for a 3D structure.
- As per the current facility available in Staad Pro, we can define the seismic parameters at only one time and that too has to be used in both the directions.
- But if I want to define a particular structure to behave as per the separate response reduction factors in Staad, then for such case there is no provision in to the Staad, as Staad does not accept the seismic parameter definition more than one time.
- I have attached a screen shot which gives a warning that Seismic parameters can be defined only once in a STAAD model.
- For ex.
If I want to define the seismic parameters as below

Frame | Eccentric Brace | Concentric Brace |
If I want to analyze a structure with different frame type then it is not feasible in the Staad pro as we can make the definition of the seismic parameters at single time only, and we cannot make its definition as per the directions.
This facility should be available in Staad pro.
