I am currently designing a building that has 4 stories of light gauge framing on top of a post-tension concrete podium. The diaphragms above the podium are also assumed rigid, and we are using concrete cores to provide lateral resistance to the building. If the walls are purely load bearing can I model them as say the "other" material, and have them bear on the concrete podium in RAM SS, run the concrete analysis to get the load to the podium accurately and then export that plate to concept to perform my PT design?? I know I get a ton of warnings from the data check because the walls are not supported by a foundation or beam but from a pure gravity standpoint will RAM still get the loads accurately as line loads to the podium?? If this will work for gravity is there any way to get this to work if the structure was say shear walls and I wanted to perform a similar analysis??
